Eid ul-Fitr is one of the most celebrated festivals across the globe. It marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan during which Muslims observe fast by abstaining from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk.

APPETIZERS :


KABOB KOOBIDEH

Eid can't be complete without kebabs. This is one of the most popular kebabs you can find on the streets of Iran. Kabob koobideh is generally made with ground meat that is grilled with tomatoes, green peppers, onions, or other vegetables.

This Lebanese Fattoush Salad is a colorful salad that's refreshing, crisp, and satisfying. It’s made with seasonal vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, radish, and topped with fried pita bread.

MUTTON NIHARI

The word “nihari” comes from the root Arabic word “Nahar”, meaning “day” or “morning”.

Nihari is a rich, slow-cooked meat stew flavored with spices usually made in India and Pakistan. It can be made with lamb, goat, or chicken and served with julienned ginger, lemon wedges, and green chilies.


YEMEN MANDI

Mandi is a traditional rice dish with lots of flavors that your family will love! It's made with rice and meat, slowly cooked together until the meat is tender and pulled apart. It's cooked in a tandoor, which gives it the smoky flavor that differentiates it from other Middle Eastern rice dishes.


ONE-POT HALEEM

Haleem is a savory dish from Hyderabad made with meat, wheat, and lentils. A favorite in India, this one-pot meal is amazingly delicious, healthy, and nutritious. It's a celebratory dish that’s fulfilling and satisfying and is served with julienned ginger and lemon wedges.


JOLLOF RICE

Jollof Rice is an iconic Nigerian rice dish flavored with tomatoes, pureed tomatoes, onions, peppers, salt, and a lot of spices. It's usually served with chicken and salad.

Originating from the Valleys of Kashmir, the exotic Goshtaba is served as a finishing dish in Wazwan, which is a multi-course meal with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. It's a type of minced meatball which is cooked in yogurt and spices.

LAYALI LUBNAN

Layali Lubnan is a semolina pudding that translates to Lebanese nights. It's a spongy Middle Eastern dessert that is served cold. It has two layers; the bottom one is of semolina and the top one is of Ashta or clotted cream. Drenched with sugar syrup and decorated with pistachios and rose petals.


SHEER KHURMA

Sheer Khurma is a rich Mughlai dessert that is a must make on the occasion of Eid in South Asian countries. It's made with roasted vermicelli, saffron milk, dried dates, nuts, and sugar.

If you visit Turkey you will come across a very special porridge-like dessert called Noah's pudding or Ashura. The story behind it makes it the oldest dessert in the world. Made with pelted wheat, sugar, and milk and is flavored with vanilla or rose water extract.

Sahlab is the name of a popular drink in Lebanon. It's thick and creamy and rich in flavor and is served with all sorts of nuts. This traditional milk pudding is very popular and takes only a few minutes to make.


VERMICELLI

Called "The Queen of Arabic desserts" this traditional Palestinian dessert is found all across the Middle East. It's a sweet, crunchy, buttery dessert made with vermicelli enclosing a creamy mozzarella and cottage cheese layer. It's drizzled with fragrant sugar syrup and is garnished with crushed pistachios.
